Ingredients

For the chicken

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts Chicken thighs could also work if you desire a richer flavor.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil Adds depth of flavor while cooking.
  • 1 tsp kosher salt Essential for seasoning; taste as you go!
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper Adds gentle warmth without overpowering.

For the wrap

  • 4 cups romaine lettuce Substitute with spinach if desired.
  • 0.33 cup shaved Parmesan cheese Shredded Parmesan works too.
  • 1 cup rustic croutons Adds crunch; use store-bought or homemade.
  • 0.5 cup creamy white Caesar dressing A lighter alternative could be yogurt or avocado-based dressing.
  • 4 large soft white flour tortillas Corn tortillas can be used for a gluten-free option.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Pat chicken dry and rub with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat; cook chicken for 6-7 minutes until golden.
  • Flip chicken; cook another 5-6 minutes until it reaches 165°F. Let rest, then slice.
  • In a bowl, combine romaine, Parmesan, and croutons. Add Caesar dressing and toss gently.
  • Lay a tortilla flat; add sliced chicken and salad mixture down the center.
  • Roll the tortilla tightly, folding in the sides to secure.
  • If desired, toast the wrap seam-side down for 1-2 minutes until crispy.
  • Cut on a bias to serve.

Notes

These wraps can be enjoyed on their own or paired with a fresh fruit salad, sweet potato fries, or a light soup like tomato basil for a comforting meal. Customize with extras like sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, or avocados. A squeeze of lemon on top adds a nice zing.
